Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation – Malawi (BCM-CFM) is a not-for-protit organization working in partnership with the Malawi government in the health sector. Our Mission is to provide high-quality, high-impact, highly ethical paediatric and family-centered health care, health professional training and clinical research, focused on HIV/ AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, malnutrition and other conditions impacting the health and well-being of children and families worldwide. We are situated within the Kamuzu Central Hospital campus (opposite Kamuzu College of Nursing)

BCM-CFM invites applications from suitably qualified individuals to till the following position at the Area 25 Government Health Centre in Lilongwe.



Reporting to HR Officer and Senior Administrative Assistant – Baylor College of Medicine – Kamuzu Central Hospital Campus

Key Responsibilities include:

Human Resource

  • Support the hiring of Baylor staff for the Area 25 Health Centre including nurses, midwives, medical doctors, anaesthetists, clinical officers, and other positions.
  • Provide HR support to Area 25 Health Centre Liaise with MOH HR/Admin personnel at Area 25
  • Manage leave records and time sheets for staff and submit the records to Baylor HR Officer
  • Updating personnel records and submit them to Baylor HR Officer
  • Organise induction for staff
  • Liaise with HR Officer at Baylor KCH Campus on HR related issues and policies


  • Management of stock and inventory including updating bin cards
  • Procurement of clinic supplies and representing Area 25 Baylor Project Health in the IPC
  • Management of transport and fuel
  • Ensure that the premises are clean, secure and safe for the employees and patients
  • Main contact person for external service suppliers for the Area Baylor Project
  • Manage petty cash
  • Make payment requests and submit them to Baylor finance for processing of payment
  • Supervise gardeners and drivers
  • Tracking of all Area 25 Baylor Project assets

Educational Qualifications, Experience and Attributes

  • Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management or Administration from recognized institutions
  • Experience in health care and hospital administration is preferred
  • Must have worked in a Hospital setup or Health related NGO
  • Must be a self-starter and should be able to work even during odd hours
  • Should at least have 3 years of work experience
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision
